Win a Pair of $445 Taryn Rose Shoes
Posted on December 1st, 2009 by galligator under Comfort Shoes, Fall 2009 Shoes, Pumps, Shoe Contests, Taryn Rose Shoes, spring 2010 shoes(Original *non-promo* photo is at front page of Taryn Rose website)
Dear Readers,
Have you been good this year? If so, heck even if you were a little naughty, how does a chance to win a pair of luxurious, comfy dressy shoes sound? Good, right?
Well, just in time for the holidays, we are pleased to announce a Shoeblog giveaway for pair of these Taryn Rose ‘Fierce’ Disco (Disco is the color) peep-toe shoes; retail value $445:
Taryn Rose was founded by a former orthopedic surgeon, and the brand is well-known for designing trend-conscious footwear with a focus on comfort and wear-ability. The shoes are hand-sewn in Italy, and while they are not exactly inexpensive, they are very competitively priced for a hand-made shoe ($300-$600), particularly when compared to recent large price increases seen among luxury shoe designers. I do admit that I have a few Taryn Rose styles on my personal wish list, but have not yet had a chance to invest in any shoe from this brand for myself. However, one of our lucky readers will be able to receive a pair of the attractive Fierce Disco pumps we are showing today.
These sparklers will easily dress up any LBD – whether you are partying on New Years Eve or are simply out for an intimate dinner-date with your beau…plus, you will still be able to walk without limping come the evening’s end.
In conjunction with this contest, Taryn Rose has graciously provided a 25% off promotional code discount for Shoeblog readers. The code is good from 12/1/09-12/31/09 and is valid on any full-price item; enter code “SHOEBLOG” at checkout to get your discount. (If you find a pair of shoes showing a rare 30% off the original price, the checkout will take the 30% discount already shown on that item instead of the lesser 25% of the promo code.)
So, what you really want to know is how can you be entered for a chance to win these festive Taryn Rose shoes, right?
That’s the easy part. Leave your comment below, telling us what outfit or occasion you would wear these with. This comment will count as your contest entry (One comment per person, please).
Contest will run 12/01/09 – 12/15/09. The winner will be chosen by random number generator and announced in a separate blog entry. The winner will need to provide their shoe size and shipping address when they are notified by Shoeblog (size chart for Italian/US sizes is here).
- Barefoot Tess Coupon for Shoeblog readers!
- Deal of the day: Taryn Rose pumps
- Contest Reminder: Enter a comment to win a pair of ASGI sandals
- Win a pair of Nina Shoes

This shoes scream office christmas party! I can already see myself dancing right up to the time they kick us out of the hotel banquet room. I would wear these shoes with my lbd! I love the sheen of the shoe. Thanks for the opportunity to win them.
December 1st, 2009 at 6:15 am
This pair of shoe is great for a new year party-
December 1st, 2009 at 6:26 am
It seems to me that these shoes would add a touch of sophistication to much needed comfort and posture. I have just purchased a ‘pleather’ pencil skirt that will go with glitzy tops or fuzzy sweaters. I think that these sparkly shoes would go with either look.
Good luck to me!
cheers

I have a shoe fetish and frequently blog about them, specifically those mentioned in shoeblog.com.
One of the keys of justifying the cost of a shoe is its wear-ability and versatility. This pair of shoes is a must have for years to come.
For example,
These shoes can really be the finishing look to an outfit of knee length black leather skirt, natural hose, gunmetal knit top with tiny crystals around the neckline. Not only will the outfit be great for the holidays, but can also be appropriate for business attire like a tweed skirt with black and/or gray in it, crisp white shirt, and dark leatherjacket.
They can also be worn with slacks and jeans with a dressy top, leather or tweed jacket, anything along those lines. Again, the shoe rules, complementing and providing the finishing touch.

Taryn has an incredible personal story. Born in Ho Chi Minh City, three days before Saigon fell she and her family boarded a plane – with arterillary fire and machine guns all around- finally landing in Arkansas. She was 8 at the time.
I wish I could say she is still with Taryn Rose International but she left in March because of differences of vision on how to grow the company. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her launch a new line and stay private.
December 1st, 2009 at 9:04 am
Obviously, these would be great for all the upcoming holiday parties but I’d love to see them kicking back with jeans and maybe catching a movie on date night with my husband.
December 1st, 2009 at 9:56 am
I would love to be wearing these to the New Year’s Party!
December 1st, 2009 at 10:33 am
I have this pair of jeans that look fabulous on me, even though they have a long inseam (they were the only pair left in my size) and therefore require heels. I could see myself putting this outfit together for a night out with my friends this holiday season. Since they’re Taryn Rose, I’m sure I’d be comfortable all night long.
December 1st, 2009 at 11:08 am
These could go with any outfit, but I picture them with a pencil denim skirt, tucked in fitted black turtleneck sweater, and a sparkle flower in my hair!
Gorgeous!
December 1st, 2009 at 11:22 am
OMG i just bought a LBD and these would go perfect!!!! I’d love to win!
December 1st, 2009 at 1:36 pm
I love Taryn Rose and comfy shoes. I’d definitely be wearing these out and about LA and make use of their ability to not hurt my feet. :X
December 1st, 2009 at 2:03 pm
These are sooo cute! I just got a little black dress to wear for my husbands Christmas party, but have yet to get shoes. I love the fact that they are cute, yet I will be able to walk around all night without my husband having to hear my complain about my feet hurting.
December 1st, 2009 at 4:30 pm
I will wear them this holiday season to all the parties and events! With:
my silver mini dress
my lbd
my other lbd
my best black trousers
and if he ever calls me again, with my grammy nominations party dress!
December 1st, 2009 at 6:05 pm
Such great NYE party shoes! For those of us who usually wear flats, it’s a challenge to dress up and still be comfortable. I would dance the night away in these babies.
December 1st, 2009 at 6:24 pm
I would wear these with dark wash jeans, a sequin tank from Express, and a long cardigan.
December 1st, 2009 at 8:58 pm
I’m going to a New Year’s Eve concert, so I’ll be doing a lot of dancing and these look very danceable! I think they would look great with a slim black skirt and a soft red 3/4 length sleeved sweater.
December 1st, 2009 at 10:05 pm
With these shoes, I would wear a black &/or silver mini dress or a sequin dress. Probably something I’d be able to find from Bebe or Macy*s INC brand.
For a more casual look, I’d wear a black puffy skirt & a white or silver tank top with a nice H&M scarf. Also with a light black sweater.
The shoes could be worn to several occasions, formal or informal.
December 2nd, 2009 at 4:11 am
For holiday dinners with family, I’d pair these sparkly shoes with a fabulous dark rinse jean, a simple light gray jersey top with shiny silk edging, and a sparkly black headband over a hint of a beehive. A slim black patent leather belt and some chandelier earrings would finish the look.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:23 am
I will be wearing the black chiffon dress and a black sweater and I think these most lovely shoes will go well with my outfit for the nye.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:36 am
Super dark skinny jeans, colorful belt with large silver buckle, little white t, big comfy gray sweater & scarf to coordinate with the color in the belt.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:38 am
I would wear these to referee the exhibition bouts at Duel in the Desert, which is a fencing tournament held in Las Vegas at New Year’s. (It is usually the strength of a Division 1 National, as the first place prizes are quite a lot of money!) These would look fantastic with my little black BCBG dress, it has just the right amount of ’swoop and cling.’ Throw a Theory blazer over it to ref in, and I’m done!
In case anyone is wondering, yes, I referee nationals in 3 to 4 inch heels all the time. I typically choose glam over function, to the degree that I can get away with it… at the last Div 1, I wore those beautiful color-block Via Spigas. But these disco babies actually look comfortable!
Thanks for the great sale code!
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:19 pm
Taryn Rose are definitely the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn aside from shoes I’ve had custom made. Love them!
December 2nd, 2009 at 1:31 pm
I would wear them on my wedding, on my funeral, to work and to a restaurant, I would wear them while cooking and while dancing;
I would wear them with my pajamas and with my Viktor & Rolf cocktail dress; with my garter belt and with my apron;
I would were them day and night;
- but not when it rains-
I would wear them in The Netherlands and in my dreams.
December 2nd, 2009 at 1:56 pm
I would love to wear those to a New years eve Dinner and Dance the Night Away, Simply Stunning!
December 2nd, 2009 at 4:46 pm
WOW!! These shoes are amazing! They would be even more amazing on my feet! What a Treat!!! To kick off the New Year with shoes that scream “Look at Me”… I am truly what Dream “Soles” are made of…I just might never take them off….
December 2nd, 2009 at 6:12 pm
These are totally rocking, they would totally go with anything, but I’m a legging girl, so I would sport these with a long sleeve black shirt, black flowy above the knee skirt, nice purple scarf, my studded blazer and of course the leggings, I’m thinking about the Christopher Kane legging.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:41 pm
I would wear these with black skinny jeans and a loose white v-neck t-shirt tucked in just a bit in the front on the right side, and with an attached red plaid silk untied bow tie. And a black blazer for when it’s cold. I would wear this outfit if I go out with my boyfriend because he hates it when I wear uncomfortable shoes.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:09 pm
I would wear these beauties to a night out at Art Walk, or going out to watch a play. They would be my secret weapon to turn upgrade a regular, dull outfit to smart casual.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:11 pm
I would pair them with skinny jeans and a flowy, girly blouse.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:59 pm
The heel is traditional with a modern flair; the look will last years and go casual or dress.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:08 pm
I would rock the Taryn Rose “Fierce” shoes with my black one-strap Faremón dress and Thierry Mugler clutch to watch the fencing prize fight, “Duel in the Desert” in Las Vegas this January. They would be perfect since I am competing in a fencing event the next morning and need my feet to be in good shape for my women’s epée veteran event debut. Sadly, I can’t wear the shoes while fencing in competition because of uniform regulations, but wouldn’t that intimidate my opponents?
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:47 pm
I am currently in college majoring in voice performance, so I am onstage on my feet a lot. Everyone knows that musicians are only allowed to wear black, so these shoes are perfect!
December 3rd, 2009 at 3:11 am
they look really comfortable!
December 3rd, 2009 at 3:21 pm
I’d definitely wear it with a LBD to an office Christmas party. Perfect!
December 3rd, 2009 at 4:35 pm
I’ve bought Taryn Rose shoes for my husband, but would love to have a pair of my own!
December 3rd, 2009 at 6:44 pm
So gorgeous! I would wear them with jeans and bright red nail polish to go out.
December 3rd, 2009 at 8:49 pm
I’d love to wear these with my desi wear, pumps are so in!
December 4th, 2009 at 2:15 pm
In my sixth month of pregnancy, I would wear these shoes with just about everything — work clothes, play clothes, going-out clothes — everything but my PJs.
Thanks for a fantastic opp.
December 4th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
After the holiday parties, would still be rocking these at the office with grey slacks and a slouchy sweater. Perfect for going straight to all those networking happy hours that start right at 5!
December 4th, 2009 at 7:09 pm
OMG, LOVE! I have never tried this brand before but comfort AND style is quite appealing. I think I would wear these whenever I could haha
perfect way to spice up a simple black dress!
December 5th, 2009 at 5:52 am
Ironically just saw a pair of shoes that looked similar to these last night, with the steel-grey metallic sparkles that I instantly adored, though they did not have as sensible a heel and the poor girl wearing them could hardly walk. I’d love to get my hands on a pair that actually look wearable to wear out anywhere and everywhere this holiday season.
December 5th, 2009 at 9:46 am
I can see wearing this to work. I’m a high school teacher and students love seeing my many different types of shoes. I think they like the fact that I put a bit more into my look instead of looking like the sterotypical teacher. These would be paired with jeans and a fashioable top, probably black.
December 5th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
i love these <3! i’d wear them out shopping or anytime i’d want to look hot.
December 5th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
Oh, SHE would wear them to that black tie New Year’s Party with a certain stunning black dress.
December 6th, 2009 at 10:33 am
I’d wear these first on New Year’s Eve with a LBD with lace sleeves, and then later whenever I have a particularly long day of orchestra/chamber music performances. Pretty and comfortable, I’d love to try a pair!
December 6th, 2009 at 4:35 pm
These shoes are closed-toed and would dress up any outfit. I would wear them any season. I would dress up jeans and a grey tee or pair them with tights, a cable knit dress, and pea coat on a cold day. I already have a few pieces of white gold and silver jewelry that would go well with these shoes. They look comfortable enough for work (making signs) and to wear shopping.
December 6th, 2009 at 5:38 pm
christmas eve at home with my boyfriend and cat. They like sparkles too.
December 7th, 2009 at 11:13 am
Am in a group of women sharing a diamond necklace and am the only “practical shoe person” in the group. Would love to wear only these shoes and the necklace! Short of wearing only those 2 items, I would love to showup at the next necklace exchange wearing a fabulous pair of shoes.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:47 pm
I would wear these shoes to a New Year’s Eve Party. I would wear a black A-line skirt with a black and white print shirt. A beautiful coat and these shoes to top it off. These would make the outfit classy and chic. Nothing like a little sparkle to start off the New Year!
December 7th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
I have a great pair of BCBG black satin pants that these would go GREAT with! I’d probably put a shimmery blouse on top and go out and enjoy a wonderful holiday party with my husband. Thanks for the great giveaway!

I’d find a reason to where them – maybe a night out on my b-day in January! We’d have to leave the town we live in – no fun here! Too small town – but big city here we come!

December 12th, 2009 at 2:49 pm
I can think of several events to wear these to! I could wear them around the office with a basic skirt and cardigan, with the intent of making my coworkers jealous. I could also wear them to all the art gallery openings happening right now- if you’re going to be standing all night and looking pensive, you might as well look festive too! And of course, for playing dress up in front of my bedroom mirror ;D
