This shoe has been around for quite a while. There are several colors and versions; peep toe, sling back, booties, suede, 80 mm and 105 mm high, and a zillion colors. I had one version of this shoe in my Saks Shopping Cart, waited too long and now it is gone.
After Kate Winslet wore the black suede version with a Stella McCartney dress, I wanted you to see them again. I love the curve in the platform, the heel has a pretty, pretty curve and is a little thicker than a lot of designer shoes. I tend towards a thicker heel for stability, because, quite frankly, falling down is a little embarrassing.
This silver shoe is new for this season available for $750 at Nordstrom’s. Wonderful shoe for Holiday time. Can’t you just see yourself wearing something this pretty?
Love this. $950 at Neiman Marcus
Black Booties $895 at Nordstroms
This is red suede pump was included in the Christian Louboutin lawsuit because of the red sole. Palais’ soles are the same color as the upper.
As you may remember, Louboutin sued YSL in New York Federal Court last April because YSL was selling a shoe with a red sole: Louboutin’s trademark, which the company legally obtained in 2008.
Louboutin wanted a court-ordered injunction to stop YSL from selling the shoes while the case was in review. Instead, the presiding judge decided that Louboutin’s trademark could not be valid, that one designer shouldn’t be able to have a “monopoly” on a color. Louboutin has been fighting the opinion.
This is a classic shoe that can be worn for years to come. Love it.
