Re: Flat Feet
There are differences between flat feet, high arches, and fallen arches... A person born with flat feet is usually not able to wear a shoe that has high arch support because it's painful to wear. Someone with high or fallen arches, however, needs to have that firm, raised support beneath their arches, because it's painful to wear flat shoes without that proper support. That's why people pay big bucks for the custom orthotics. All of our feet are different and need custom fitting / support / attention. Shoes are supposed to me more about functionality in providing support and protection anyway... the biz's emphasis is purely on looks these days... that's the problem
