Re: Help Me Spot The Fake
Did you check the seller's feedback on ebay? Do you know anything about the seller? I'd suggest going to a store that carries the real version and comparing the two.
Different people have different attitudes towards fakes. I have one friend who very proudly carries around her fake LV bag, bought for less than $50 on the beach in Greece (I think she paid a tad much, personally, although it is a good fake). Most of my friends wouldn't consider it, and I have a good contingent of friends who are kind of anti-brand name snobby and wouldn't ever wear brand names, fake or real.
Personally, I bought a fake James Perse t-shirt off of ebay. I knew the price was too good to be true, but it was only because I suspected the color and compared it to a real JP that I noticed the tag on the inside was different. I probably should have known, based on the huge quantity of these tees the seller was turning out. Then again, I got a t-shirt I like for a reasonable price, fake or not... different than status shoes that everyone is going to see.
But while we have a Britisher here, what is this High Street phenomenon, anyway? Can anyone explain to me what it means?
