Well, at the beginning i used to have the same problem....that's why i was buying mostly light brown shoes....so i could cover the damaged tips with shoes polish
I have started buying brand shoes two years ago, so i guess that that also "influenced" my walk. Paying 300 dollars for a pair of shoes can make you change your "walking habbits"

).
Then i got better, i started walking more carefully. I used to stumble a lot, on stairs mostly

)
I remember i bought once a pair of beautiful black wooden wedges...I went at a party with them...by the end of the evening the tip was all chapped off...i tried black marker, but it didn't do much
I like pointy shoes, but not too long and pointy....the thinner and pointier it is, harder and more painfull they are.
Now, as my walking got better and my shoes look like new for at least a year i got a new problem, my heels wear fast...i think that the weight i used to "carry" on my tips switched to my heels
My favourite brand, for reasons of design and heel height is Prada, i could walk in them for hours and not feel a thing.
Next is Gucci, but only a few models, the ones that have a medium heel.
You always need a balance between the sole and the heel, if the heel is very high and the sole very thin you're in for a lot of pain. Plus, when you wear sandals that have thin soles and high heel your toes look bad...they turn red, yellow

)) too much pressure on them. You get tired easily and you feel very uncomfortable.
I am not for casual shoes, snickers, tennis shoes (only if i jog or go to gym, which i never do

)) or going to the market.
An expensive pair of shoes (material, brand, design quality) will make any regular outfit look chic.
I would rather invest in a stunning pair of shoes than in an expensive bag
My lastest "investment" is a pair of Ltd Edt Gucci sandals with Swarovski crystals....
Not comfy, but gorgeous
