Nah, not at all. Unless you bought these shoes as an investment and plan to sell them off later (which I doubt) then why not? They are YOUR shoes. Nobody will notice the difference and a true professional will not butcher them. They will look perfectly fine. Trust me, I've had to get many a designer shoe re-soled, re-heeled, and sometimes slightly altered to fit my foot.
