OMgosh. This is such potentially explosive relationship issue I don't know any easy answer. How important is this to you? Is she likely to budge or change her mind? Married couples are known to go to counseling on more mundane issues than this, it seems like there's likely to be a lot of high emotions from both of you on this. In addition, relationships where priviledges can be 'taken away' have other issues that I'm not really qualified to deal with.

The only thing I can say is that you need to have honest communication with your girlfriend. Only then can you decide what your appropriate actions and responses will need to be.
