My wardrobe lacked two essential winter shoes (ahem): a tall brown boot and a red boot. Unfortunately, everything I liked came either in heels or with price tags I couldn't afford. However, enter Endless, my post-Zappos crush, with huge prices, free overnight shipping (yep, free), and a $5 discount on my order, plus the usual free returns, etc. I've been lurking on that site for ages, but I finally couldn't resist and I bought these two items:
-
Tsonga 'Sebenza' floral boot. A basic, cute, casual, and warm style (enabling me to further avoid Uggs!), very comfortable, and very accommodating (you can easily tuck your jeans in--or not). Remains to be determined how they'll behave outside (they're not waterproof).
-
Sudini 'Ignite' Riding boot in chocolate. Now, I have a documented weakness for riding boots, so I just couldn't resist this, and I'm glad I didn't. It's very classy styling, with a modest buckle, and gore at the top, which is what I need for my super-hefty, ubermuscular calves. They look a little better in person than in the picture, and although it's made in China (and c'mon, what isn't nowadays), the boot seems very well constructed, the leather is supple and shiny, and the lines very flattering to my legs. The slogan of the company is both funny and odd: 'Our shoes make love to your feet', or something like that.
The best part of the deal? I got these babies 70% off: both cost a grand total of $105 (shipping included, remember?). I'm quite satisfied with the purchase, and can't wait to wear them both out!
