Default building an outfit around your shoes

Now, me, I do this all the time. I tend to build my daily outfit around one thing I particularly want to wear. Sometimes it's a pair of jeans, sometimes it's a sweater. And sometimes (often, in fact) it's a pair of shoes.

I find that my shoes go very far in how I feel about my outfit. I could put on a pair of great slacks and nice blouse, but if I don't feel good about the shoes and how they coordinate with the outfit, the whole thing can go down the drain for me. So, in many cases, when I'm particularly set on looking good, I pick out the shoes first and go from there.

Am I the only one who focuses this much energy on how my shoes determine my dressing? Somehow, around this crowd, I doubt I'm the only one.

Are you kidding me? For a nice occasion (anything from going out to going to a show and above), , the shoes determine what I wear.

Now, going to the dog park to walk my adorable mini bull-terrier is more a question of practicality, that's true. And I don't fuss too much over wearing sneakers at the gym, you know. That's pretty much a given.

But for the rest of the time? Dress around shoes. It can be hard, it can be challenging. But I rarely go wrong, as a result

I completely agree with jitterbugbaby. When I look in my closet, there is usually one item that stands out to me that I really want to wear that day, or sometimes it's a pair of shoes(that don't quite fit in my closet). I build my outfit from that one piece and it always works out great.

This actually is difficult for me. I love to buy shoes for my wife and many times impulse buy a lot without a thought of what she could wear with them, or what I could buy to go with them. My most recent impulse has really got me guessing. But I couldn't pass up the boot or the steal of a deal.

Maybe someone with more than zero fashion sense like me, can make a suggestion.

I think one of the most beautyful way, to Accessoirze shoes, is to wear spats. I bought John Patrick Christopher spats and they look wonderful!
But: It´s nothing for rainy days! - I just say: Genuine white Leather!
