Donald J Pliner Nikki giraffe print bag

I LOVE this bag I saw on Endless, Donald J Pliner Nikki handbag, in a fabulous giraffe print backed with his famous 'tomato'-red leather. It also comes at a fabulous price, 70% off, so I'm very, very tempted. However, I'm concerned about matching it. Endless has matching shoes (giraffe print and all), but it's a 3-inch pump, and that's out of the question for me. Also, it would be a bit too much. My question is, can I match this to black or red shoes? And if red (of which I have several pairs), does it have to be the exact same hue, or not? Are there any examples of shoes this would go with? So many questions!!!!!

You could match it with black, red (I don't think I'd be too worried about the exact hue unless it's really off), beige. You may even be able to pull it off with a yellow shoe as long as the shoe and the bag both matched the outfit in some way. It would probably have to be the perfect match, though, so it didn't look like too much.
