Ok, so I know this original post was some time ago, but that is ridiculous! But because the post has to do with Crocs I'll ask -- are they a complete no-no? When I first saw them I thought they were absolutely hideous, but to be perfectly honest, they've kind of grown on me. They seem like the perfect shoes to wear to & from yoga. ???
People have very strong opinions about Crocs--in fact so strong, I'm not that sure that a shoe deserves the expenditure of so much energy. I think there was even a website entitled I Hate Crocs.com, or something like that. The Manolo at shoeblogs.com abhors the things, and so do 99% of his following. I used to hate them too, but now, even I have a pair--for garden work! It's true, I would never wear them outside the house, or outside my garden, rather, but that's me.
I'd never wear this crocs with or without jewels. I love my feet to much.
Yeah, I've got to say I'm pretty solidly against Crocs. But I also have no use for them in my life (I don't garden, I have other slip on shoes for running errands, I have rain shoes). I've never tried them on, so maybe they're really all that and a bag of chips.
Now, I was curious to see Nicole's post as I happen to know her personally (and attend yoga with her!) and I know that she has never come to yoga class barefoot. We've all seen your shoe collection, Nicole -- NO CROCS!
That said, I was totally against big sunglasses, and now they're all I wear.
Tracy's right -- I really don't "need" Crocs to get me to yoga. Thanks for calling me out on that. I think the impulse has passed...I should know to trust my instincts on these things... (but I'm glad I have the forum to return me to my senses!!) We'll just call this a "momentary lapse in judgment." :)
I saw over the weekend that crocs now have a ballet-inspired shoe. I have to admit, I checked out the price... they actually were kind of cute! But $40 for novelty shoes? Eh.
Nemtynakht, are these cute flats at Urban Outfitters similiar to the style you saw? They are advertised as "CROC Crossover Skimmers" and I gotta say, I kinda like them, especially since they are on sale for $30.

Yeah, these are much more appealing than Crocs' other shoes.
