I read this article in the NYTimes ages ago, talking about how global the shopping experience is these days -- you don't need to leave the comfort of your computer to buy goods from anywhere in the world. The author was talking particularly about her search for Karine Dupont bags, and how she found them at artfulwears.com. That was my introduction to the site.
They have one of my favorite clothing brands (xcvi) and their prices are not bad at all (esp on sale stuff). But I wanted to recommend them because I just had an amazing customer service experience. I didn't get my order as quickly as I expected to, and the owner went out of her way to rectify the situation, answering my emails immediately (up until midnight last night) and refunding my shipping. She was genuinely upset that she couldn't do anything more to help me. It definitely left a good impression on me!
