NY Fashion Week Fall 08: Here Come the Beautiful Shoes

Phew.Â* Beginning yesterday with the Peter Som ankle-strap pumps, the lovely shoes have begun to pour down the runways in New York. There's more of that ankle-strap pump look, and it looks pretty clear that we'll be seeing plenty of that come fall.Â* Badgley Mischka and Narciso Rodriguez offered ladylike versions of this look. Â* The Mulleavy sisters at Rodarte sent out punked out spiky versions that provided an excellent contrast with the feminine silhouettes of the clothes. Â* Â* I bet you money Posh'll be wearing these in no time.Â* Sky-high and spiked?Â* Sounds like her profile to a T.Â* That gold pair is to die for! The Matthew Williamson show took a different tack with shoes, going with a more organic style, but also showed us (as many others have been so far this week) that the oxford heel isn't going anywhere anytime soon, either. Â* Â* And Behnaz Sarafpour, while not including particularly intriguing shoes overall, did commit wholeheartedly to carrying the story of her clothes over into her shoes.Â* Otherwise, how to explain the wig on this model's foot.
