Oscar fashion!

I think 75% of my drive to watch the Oscars comes from the a desire to see the fashion. Winners? Meh, it's a pretty self-congratulatory industry, although there were some genuine moments (Jennifer Hudson, anyone?)

Personally, I was very impressed with Cate Blanchett's Armani Prive gown, in which she looked resplendent. (On the other hand, she does look alarmingly thin, and I don't know what to make of that). At any rate, the way she carried this dress was muy magnifico:

I'm absolutely right there with you! Cate looked amazing! She's almost always dressed incredibly well. She's got the right personal style to make me swoon with jealousy and admiration.

True, she's quite skinny, but she's always been that way (at least as far as I can remember).

Reese Witherspoon, on the other hand, was looking frighteningly thin to me. Don't get me wrong, I thought her dress was gorgeous. But she could have used a hamburger as her accessory.
