Default Air D'Orsay - what do you think?

I bought these shoes the other day, in silver (as shown). I'm having second thoughts. They're very cute and very comfortable, but I have a lot of cute and comfortable shoes already (when has that ever stopped me before?). What do you think? How practical are they?

What an unanswerable question!!! That depends on your needs and on the rest of your wardrobe and on your disposable income--at least in my book... On the other hand, there's no way to know how much mileage you're going to get out of a new pair of shoes--sometimes you just get addicted to a pair and wear it to death, while others collect dust in your closet, and I'm not what exactly determines that.

I think Cole Haan G-series (or Air, or whatever) are so comfy they're worth keeping. But I'm biased like that! If you have plenty of other silver/gray comfy shoes (ok, at least one pair), I'd probably give it second thoughts. If you don't, and you can coordinate these with a lot of outfits, keep'em!

Returning shoes is something that's really hard for me once they're home and sitting in my closet with all those potential coordinating outfits around them. And like Shoesense said, the G Series shoes I have are all really comfy and I wouldn't part with them. My personal vote? These are cute and basic and I'd keep em. But they're not really filling a gap in your wardrobe, and you're feeling ambivalent about them, take em on back.

I think, they are cute. Maybe some (many) heels look better, but if you have many occasions (like me) as driving, walking, supermarket, playing with the dog, ... there can't be to many of these kind of shoes in your closet.

Thank you for your opinions! You all raise valid points. My wardrobe is fairly neutral, lots of black, so they work that way. I'd already comitted the money to shoes (they were actually an exchange on a pair of shoes I ordered that didn't fit), so that wasn't an issue. I, too, have trouble returning shoes once they enter my house. And I agree that heels are sexy, but I almost never wear them because I just don't find them comfortable.

So I wore them today. And I *love* them. I'm already rethinking tomorrow's outfit to include these shoes instead.

Congrats! If you like them already and include them into your thoughts of style, they might get your favs this spring.
