Droolworthy flats

I think these slingback flats are absolutely stunning. Bright, sparkly, cheerful, comfortable--what's not to like? Ok, maybe one thing: the price ($645 at Net-a-porter).

I love the color and I'm looking for a pair of peep-toe slingbacks, but I'm very so-so on the metal detailing. I always think it looks cute on other people, but when I try to wear shoes with any sort of metal on them myself, I feel self-conscious.

Yum! I'm a sucker for metallic accents, so these are right up my alley. All except the price, that is.

Those are not so much metallic as golden/amber stones. I think. Of course, backed in metal, one supposes!
