    Default Square cutout shoes

    I'm talking about these:

    ($188 at Yoox)
    and these:

    ($208 at Yoox)
Of course, the second pair is completely unwearable if you ask me (4.5 inch heel? Get out of here!) but the design is interesting nevertheless--the square-cutout-cum-cage-styling, out of velvet, no less. They're available in several different colors, but I'm not sold on the style yet. I'll have to wait to see if they grow on me. What about you?

I love it. But not in velvet and not $200 worth. And the second shoe's heel is ridic.

I vote yes on this style, but only on a case by case basis. I don't like the flats particularly... they remind me too much of jellies. I do love the heels, but 4.5 inches? Might as well be one of those crazy shoes from the Virtual Shoe Museum. But overall the square cut-out motif looks more stylish with the color combination, ankle strap, and velvet (impractical as it may be).
