Alternately, I also don't mind going 'lowbrow' for a buckle-vamp pump. The Manolo pump is pretty, just not sure I'm convinced yet that any non-custom shoe is really 1K pretty.

As a result, I'm really liking the French 'court shoe' look of the Annette from Ellie shoes.

OK, so they're in the $40-60 range, but since I'm not gonna have that many occasions to wear this style of shoe, I'd rather keep the price down on a pretty but not that unique a shoe.
