Thumbs up MBT - Masai Barefoot Technology

The Masais are my way to keep my feet and body healthy and in shape. It works! I have been wearing MBT about one year now, daily about two to four hours. My knees are better and my !hips too. So the rest of the time I am able to wear any shoe that I want without any problems.

Really! I often wondered about those. I mean, they're too clunky to wear per se--for an outfit, that is, but what you say is pretty interesting. I do have foot problems (can't wear flats, can't wear high heels, need plenty of arch support)--so that might be something to consider. Thanks.

I've been intrigued by the whole MBT idea for a while. I haven't looked into it seriously, because I don't have a life where I can wear sneakers for extended periods of time. But if I did have that lifestyle, I think I'd give this a try. People who wear these shoes seem to love them.

I truly understand what you mean! Believe me, it took me 2 years seeing pictures of models wearing this stuff, to make a decision only to walk into the MBT store because of the uggly looking. (By the way there are some new ones that look quiet good on the foot.)
I was lucky, there opended a "Walking Lifestyle Store" near my home and I chatted about 1hour with the manager about the looking of this shoes. The first step into these, is horrible! You walk like you just ecperienced the way to walk. I tried a second time about another hour. Learned all about the right sizing, walking, wearing ... I do not recommend buying the first pair online.

THE LOOK: I only wear them with too long trousers like my fav jeans "Citizens of Humanity - Ingrid" and gosh they look complitly different.

HEALTH: Not only that my hips and bottom look much better, I had a anterior cruciate ligament ruptur 6 month ago. I decided no surgery and practiced with my MBTs for about 2-3 month and now my knee is better than after a surgery could be (says my Osteopath).

That certainly sounds like a ringing endor*****t to me. I know they say to wear them quite often at the beginning, but would you still get the benefit from them if you wore them, say, only on the weekends? I'm trying to figure out if this is a shoe technology I could really incorporate into my lifestyle.

I don't think it works that effective if you only wear them 2 days a week. It might work for the back and the bloodcirculation or tired and weary feet, but not for a better shape.

MBT work, but I used them less then a year 1-2 hours a day and the soles exfoliated. The company refused to change the product, giving me only 20% discount for a new pair. It's not fair

HELGA - I'm sorry to hear that. My MBTstore is very cooperative all the time. Maybe changing the MBTstore?
