Default Impact of tax deadline on shopping?

Anybody else notice how empty the shops were today? Usually, weekends are one of the most crowded days to shop.

Perhaps the tax payment was driving folks to save their nickels and pennies? Or are there any procrastinators that are waiting until the final days to file their tax return?

What do you think? Was today just an anomaly or do you think there was another reason for the slow day?

I didn't get out of the house on Sunday, and neither did, I'm afraid, thousands and thousands of potential fellow-shoppers. That's because the weather has been kidnapped by a troll and it rained by the gallons, all day, without break. And all night. And this am--it's rain/hail mix. Gaaah.
But it could have also been the tax season... I know we were relieved of quite a bit of money so yeah, I wouldn't have been in the mood for shopping anyway...

Yeah, over on the East coast, I'm going to vote for the massive amounts of torrential rain keeping people inside. Poor Boston marathon runners. Hope the Wellesley scream tunnel keeps up their spirits.

Oye, I'm sorry to hear about the weather. At least it helps manage the pocketbook (at least for the the B&M shops)?

Yeah, it would be interesting to see if internet shops had more purchases from East Coasters over the past few days. A marketing study in the works, here.

Default Stupid Question

Hey everyone... how do I search for more than one word in other posts, so that it returns only posts with those two words?

Have you tried boolean terms inside quotes?
