How do we feel about a thread for shoes & shoe-designer related articles. Cite website source for any posts so that credit is given to the source...

I think it would be great since links alone can expire or news articles get archived and difficult to find.

Sounds good to me, especially if the whole text of the article appears here in addition to the citation. It's annoying to see tiny excerpts like "Vivienne Westwood has a new idea - read it here" (and it turns out to be some long-expired link)
Right now the news is scattered over several dozen independent shoe blogs, and even the Google spiders are having trouble keeping up with it all. Of course, what is "news" is rather subjective - a lot of it is pretty trivial. Right now, it seems to me Shoeblog.com is already one of the best, but I agree that wider coverage can't hurt.
I promise to add anything interesting I find.
