Re: Shoeblog Spring Shoe Contest - Post your old shoes to enter
I got addicted to this type of shoes after a friend brought me back a pair from Pakistan. They're called khussa and I ordered a bunch more after wearing out the first pair my friend gave me. This particular pair never really quite fit me right, however, and my feet are always in agony after about half an hour of trying to wear them. They're so pretty, though, and I just can't bring myself to throw them away.

As the biggest nerd ever in high school, I shied away from very high heels, thinking those were for the "pretty, popular girls" to wear. After 6 months of GAP-year travelling post high school, I finally got the confidence to buy a pair of heels over 2.5 inches high.
Unfortunately, they were tacky, fake wood heels that I suspect the average stripper would wear on her way to and from work.
I should toss them, but I do theatre, and figure they might come in handy for a costume some day.

I got these gold heels back in 2005 and I cant seem to let them go yet they look so bad .And boy did I get my $36 worth. These heels have seen some good times. Late night dance floors to fun in the sun! I wear a size 11 to 12 and I love to wear heels but they are hard to find in my size. Which leaves me steaming out of the shoe store !

These are the wedges I've had since 6th grade(not too long considering I'm in high school), but I was in love with them. You can see it, yet I still can't get rid of them.

I've fallen down the stairs a few too many times in these, I think. I keep telling myself the shoe guy can repair them, but I should probably just give them up...

Hopefully attaching the picture works! You can't tell from this picture, but these shoes are worn down! The front part is torn to pieces from the many hours of sweaty dancing, and the heel is dented and permanently dirty. I love these sandals though, and I'm looking for a replacement pair. Unfortunately I can't find any as cheap as these were: I got them for $15 dollars at Payless for my senior prom (3 years ago)!

I would have to say my very, very old Puma sneakers... imagine these: (ripped from google images, as I do not have a camera on me at the moment)

... only in dark blue, stained from too many rainy days, soles worn thin enough that my soles can feel gravel, and a (small) hole in the big toe. Why haven't I thrown these out yet? ... Maybe I'm just waiting for something like this to come around.
