    Default Help!

    Catchy title, isn't it?

Actually this thread is of the serious kind. I promise I'll try and keep it at just the facts, but still...

I recently lost horribly on ebay. It was for a pair of size 13 rsvp boots. They were knee-high, had pointy toes, and the heels were very short, not even 1/2''. There was also a side zip, though they were pull ons.
I never found out what model they were. You know how there's RSVP Nanook, and whatnot? The seller claims not to have found a model name on the boots. Anyway, I decided to search the net and the online shops, and so far, from what I can tell, rsvp never made this type of boot. I've looked everywhere, and have found nadda.

It's incredibly difficult searching for boots in my size, and to lose out on these (it wasn't even a bidding snipe, it was an atomic blast!), literally hurt. I wanted/needed some boots that were comfortable to both wear and walk in. But alas, like the six other times, I've been financially slapped.

I'll try and put some pictures of them on, so that y'all can see what I meant. If it doesn't work, and you might know where I can find these boots, PLEASE let me know. I'd be forever grateful!

I haven't taken a lot of time to search, however, 6pm has a lot of rsvp boots on clearance. If my memory serves me right, they may have had that boot and that size. If not, there was something close - the gathering is what I am remembering.

Thank you for the heads up! I certainly don't request anyone to take a load of time searching. Just tips.

I've been checking 6pm and haven't found anything yet, but I did bookmark it for the future.

Thanks for the heads up. Those links look like they offer shoes of the more athletic, and/or expensive kind, though.

Some of the online shoe retailers allow you to narrow searches by heel height, I certainly recommend that. Also, patience is your friend here.

Another trick is to set up an RSVP search on ebay that will email you when a similar item is listed. One of these searches can be set to remain active for up to 6 months.

Finally, to give you hope, the kitten heel trend is finally making it to retail, so you will probably see an increase in lower heeled boots by the fall.

    Hope that helps a little.

Also, try some keyword searches at 6pm.com. There prices are great and it is all past-season stock which increases your chances of locating a similar style.

evachen - I've never heard of them either, making the search on Zappos for rsvp and not even seeing the aforementioned boots there made things even more baffling. Thank you for the link, however those boots wouldn't do for me - heel's too high.

galligator - Thank you fvery much or the tips, I'll keep 'em in mind. I've never heard of the term 'kitten heel' before. That's cute. My main worry whenever I do these searches is the overall size. Granted, as you said, patience is key, so I've got to practice that. But finding boots in my size isn't all that easy. I've a better chance of digging up Jimmy Hoffa.
I'm not sure about typing rsvp within the ebay search engine. Considering that I cannot find this type under that designer name, and not to mention that the seller has basically ignored every question I've asked (they all seem to do that if you lose on that site), I'm having doubts that the boots were rsvp's to begin with. Unless they were made in the 80s or something. For all I know they could be another brand!
