My dream boots
Actually, I've been having the exact same question ever since that weird "Watchmen" movie came out- Only reason I rented it, I so love Laurie's hair & costume, even though the actress said it was terribly uncomfortable. But the woman who played her mother had the most amazing pair of knee-high lace-up boots I've seen since Michelle Pfieffer's "Catwoman" costume! They appeared to be 6" heels, with a 1" platform. I'm sure most of us know how impossible that is to find- Most designers insist on limiting us to a 4" lift, either 5 and 1 or 6 and 2, heel to platform...
Anyone know where the lovely Silk Spectre I (I think that was her name. Sally... something?) got her costume boots? I agree, I didn't like the scene, no one likes seeing another woman mistreated, but those would make the coolest entrance to any club. (I'm not wearing thigh-high latex- ugh)

Re: My dream boots
I have a copy of Watchmen & have only seen it once so far. It's a bit dark to be watching very often. Anyway, I will have to try to look at it & see what boot you are talking about before I can see if there are any similar styles out there. On a positive note, there were a lot more over the knee & thigh high boots out this winter, so you might get lucky.

Re: My dream boots
I agree, I *really* don't like the scene I'm referring to, watching another young woman get beat up by some jerk, but her costume was amazing... I did like the way her daughter beat up the creeps in the alley while wearing stiletto pumps and a tight skirt, but the violence made most of it almost unbearable to watch. I see girls in clubs wearing that latex outfit for costume parties now, and they all look gorgeous, but always say the collar and waist feels like it's strangling them. (yuck) I have no idea how the daughter did her action scenes in thigh-high latex boots with 5" heels! Sprained ankles, much?

Re: My dream boots
I hate finding shoes in movies and not knowing what they are

Re: My dream boots
...um... okay, does this mean "modenbuy" sells those boots? Or, is this just spam? A lot of companies used to advertise "catwoman's boots" a few years ago when we all fell in love with Michelle's costume, but it wasn't until Pleaser started selling the "Indulge" boot most of us had access to it...

Re: My dream boots
I've already got a couple pair of those ankle boots, and they are definitely very hot, but this winter I was vacationing in Scandanavia and the snow came over the tops. Knee-high boots with thin stilettos aren't the safest, but neither are those clunky, thick platforms all the kids like today. That's why I adore those boots in the film- they have a medium thick high heel, and a relatively thin platform. No one ever seems to know where to find them...

very nice indeed! would love to know where they come from?

Re: My dream boots
Not the same, but I noticed recently that Pleaser has a pair of skull-buckles boots added to their line.

Re: My dream boots
Hey,
Ive been in contact with a company that make anything you want HANDMADE!!!! and its not even expensive. Check out FabulouslyFetish. They only have 6" heels but they can modify their shoes in anyway you want for an additional price. I think i paid £50 extra to get a platform on my all leather black patent lace up knee boots. They are based in North London and handmake their shoes next door to their bespoke shoe showroom. Their designs are unbelievable!!! theyre not so outrageous just classic 6"s.
