Help! I want cute summer shoes, but I don't like to show my toes!

I have been shopping for summer clothes and shoes with a number of good friends recently, and when it comes to shoes I've learned that a couple of my good friends don't like to show their toes. Since I write for a blog about shoes they've asked for my help in finding cute summer shoes that conceal their toes. This request is particularly hard for me because I love to show my toes! I like sandals that cover as little of my foot as possible, and am always excited when the weather turns warm and I can start wearing my cute summer shoes!

I've suggested ballet flats as an alternative to toe-baring sandals, but my friend J. thinks they make her legs look short. She wants something that elongates her leg (heels are acceptable) and isn't too clunky (she vetoed a closed-toe t-strap). My other friends just want their toes under wraps.

So, Shoe Blog readers please help! I need to find flattering summer shoes (sandals, heels, wedges, etc) that conceal one's toes!

Why don't you try Ladies' Corral Cowboy Boots you can wear them with a skirt or with a sundress in the summer.

As far as not showing their toes during the summer, I would encourage them to grow up and stop being sissies. They are missing out on a ton of wonderful shoes.

Consider sling back pumps.... flat, heeled and platformed.

To address the one who doesn't want to make her legs look short.. She also needs to look at color choices. Wearing black, of course, will cut her off at the foot, but if she wears nude or pastel colors, it will help elongate the foot.

There are ways of getting around sandals in the summer time. But I say, what the hell, wear cute nail polish and show toes with pride.... even if said toes are really awful.

Espadrilles are great for the summer. They come as wedges as well which makes them really comfortable to wear

i went to see a bespoke shoemaker in north london to get some made to measure mens evening shoes and ended up buying my girlfriend some cute 4"court shoes that had a lace at the back. Ive fallen in love with these handmade shoes that this company design and make. The quality is really good. theyve got a website. the name is cos k collections. I must say, I am partial to wearing UGGs in the summer. I know not many people like them, but I think with a skirt, they can make the cutest outfit.
