Last autumn I raed an article that I couldn't forget because of the adorable shoes. I never saw sometihng beautiful again.

Does anybody know something about this brand?

Landed his first job designing shoes for the largest footwear-company in France, Stephane Kélian. Twenty years later, McMakin, now based in Paris, is still designing shoes, now for an Italian footwear-couture company.
McMakin, who returns to central Illinois occasionally to visit family and friends, says that much of his success came from being in the right place at the right time.

I am woefully ignorant about the brand, and I can't tell you where to find them. However, this recent article seems to indicate that he's designing shoes for Rene Caovilla (another brand producing beautiful, beautiful shoes--albeit unwearable for me): Diane, A Shaded View on Fashion: Joey McMakin shoes photographed by Alessandro Barattoni. Thanks. I will dream that night of this spring collection. And it will stay a dream as they look like they are more expensive than Manolo Blahniks.

You can buy Joey McMakin shoes at Saks Online (Forwarding Entry.jsp) as of January/February 2008. Another option is Jeffrey NY (Jeffrey), also in February.

There are a number of boutiques in Europe and the States that will carry the Summer 2008 line, but these are two great places to start.
