Ok, so I've been having some issues with my feet recently which prompted my podiatrist to recommend that I buy wide width shoes or at least shoes that run on the wider side. Also, pointy toes are out... Suggestions anyone for everyday shoes? (I've decided I will wear my perhaps not-so practical favorites now and again) I also have an affinity for platforms, so I welcome any thoughts!!

If you can find them, I can't speak highly enough about Theresia M shoes. They're extremely comfortable, have lots of support, and give you plenty of width in the toe box. However, the company doesn't seem to have much in the way of online sales, and what you can find online now is mostly older stuff that looks pretty orthopedic.

For everyday shoes, if you have having a lot of foot problems, I would recommend Birkenstocks - great prices at Fox Valley Birkenstock, Discount Birenstock Shoes and Sandals. Another great choice would be Keen or Dansko. Dansko makes casual and dress shoes and is coming out with a great line of dress shoes with orthodics built in them for fall. Go to ShoePeddlers.com - Mens Shoes and Womens Shoes including Comfortable Shoes and Footwear and see there selection.
Go comfy during the day and you should be able to wear your heels when you go out with not too many problems katey |
