Default Ideas on cleaning my white vans slipons?

any idea how to clean my white van slip ons?

edit - there the all white ones, this is the second pair I've got in under a month because its so hard 2 clean them
its just regular dirt on the top part

Have you tried washing them--in the washing machine?

At any rate, here's a whole page devoted to cleaning canvas shoes: How to Care for Canvas Shoes - Pier55.com. There are some good tips there--among which, treating the canvas with some sort of weatherproofing material before you wear them.

yeah i tryed regular washing machine and it didnt really do anything.

Not sure if this actually works, but one person on Yahoo Answers suggested using a toothbrush.

How about using a bleach pen to dab on the dirty spots? You said they were white, right? Just use the bleach pen where they are dirty and just rinse off and you wouldn't need to put in washing machine again.
