Hi

Not sure if this needs a new thread but i can't start one.

I'm trying to surprise my fiancé with some expensive shoes for our wedding. I've scoured the internet for weeks and been to just about every department store under the sun, but all the ones that fir the bill seem to be be in ivory. As my fiancés dress is white I really need to find some white shoes and as i'm a lot taller then her she needs 4 inch heels. As she's sex and the city obsessed I was thinking manalos or Louboutins, but any help ideas would be really appreciated.

One good supplier for bridal shoes is Peter Fox Shoes - although most of these are closer to 3 inches tall.

RE: Sex and the City - lots of ladies have been trying to find the Manolo Blahnik 'Something blue' shoes that were worn in the movie. So, there are many ladies wearing blue, gold, green shoes with wedding gowns these days.

Depending on the color of the gown (white, champagne, metallic threads) there are many shoes that could work:

LOUBOUTIN -

Christian Louboutin - Lillian Triple Buckle Pumps - Saks.com

Christian Louboutin - So Private Two-Tone Slingbacks - Saks.com

(I really love the triple strap maryjane)

Jimmy Choo -
Jimmy Choo - Peep-Toe Platforms - Saks.com

Jimmy Choo - Peep-Toe Pumps - Saks.com

Prada -

Good Luck.

Another consideration is to make sure it works with the style of gown & also to see what is in her closet already since things close to her favorite types will get a chance to be worn again.

I really love jewel sandals!
My sister got married last summer and she bought a fantastic from an Italian brand called SHELIGHT.
I don't know if you know it..
Take a look at the web site: shelight.com, there's a section all dedicated to bride sandals.

Hope my suggestions can help!
bye

I don't know if this is relevant but I just ordered these adorable flipflops with personalized heel pads for all of my bridesmaids. I wanted everyone to have something to change into for the reception but I wanted something a bit nicer than your average $2 foam flipflops. Sounds kinda cheezy but I got these from the same place I got my wedding favors. Here's the link if anyone is interested: Personalized Leather Flip Flops

I would look online (there are TONS of deals) and if you have a chance try to go to a local department store and try on the brand to know your size. I suggest getting a satin shoe and you can dye it afterwards (such as black) and then the shoe will not just be good for one day! For the summer, all of my friends keep telling me (I'm getting married in August) to have a peep toe, so try that out too!
