Question I'm looking for bridal shoes

    Hi,

I'm hoping you'll have some suggestions for me. I just bought my gown (strapless ivory Angel Sanchez) and I need to get shoes this month before we start alterations. Here are my constraints: it's an outdoor summer wedding on my parents' lawn so no stiletto or kitten heels. Actually, stilettoes would never be an option in the first place--I MUST be comfortable. Can anyone suggest a beautiful, low-heeled (even flat?) shoe?

    Thanks!
    *Angelina

Since I happen to know Angelina, let me throw in here two suggestions I've already made to her:
The 'Bianca' by Loeffler Randall for $360:

...and these gorgeous Christian Lacroix slingback sandals ($500 on Zappos):

Upon which Angelina wisely remarked that you're not supposed to see the bride's toes. "You aren't?" I retorted, and thus a philosophical dilemma was born.

And so I turn to you, shoe lovers, to tackle this philoshoephical quandary. Spare me no grief. And bear in mind that I wore toe-LESS back-LESS FLAT slides to my own reception!

Oh, and don't even bother checking the "bridal" collection on Zappos (couture or otherwise). They're all high-heeled or kitten-heeled or otherwise improperly heeled for our bride and her lovely lawn ceremony. And may I mention, not without some glee, that a lot of them are toe-less?

Finally, since I'm here, I'll throw in a little bling-bling from that master of glitz, Giuseppe Zanotti ($600 on Zappos):

But my fav is the CHLOE: White leather flat shoes with a gold circle buckle on toe. Chloé shoes have a square toe and very small heel. Chloé Circle buckle shoes - NET-A-PORTER.COM

How about Taryn Rose? She makes great flats, and I remember helping a customer special order a pair for her wedding back in my shoe selling days.

    What about the Blondie?

Or even the Bellini if that's your style.

Or the Devora if you want a little height. I think this one's my personal fave.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! How about a simple white or neutral ballet flat with an embellished toe. The sigerson morrison collection at target has a cute one that might work. It's the 'rocksie' jeweled flat in silver. simple, pretty and inexpensive. Or try zappos. They have *everything* Good luck!

    I was young & money-tight when I got married ... awhile ago.

But my dream shoes were from Peter Fox.

They tend to have shorter Louis heels for long-wearing comfort & are very elegant:

I might invest in a pair of ridiculously pricey shoes for my wedding day, thinking prada, chanel, or manolas. this might be the only time i ever have a good enough reason to buy those.... any fav's
