The ping g20 pink driver is inspired by Bubba Watson and are being sold as part of the "Bubba Long in Pink. Driven by Ping campaign." All clubs include pink shaft and black and pink headcover.
The aerodynamic 460cc head is fitted with an external weight pad on the sole which pulls weight low and deep to offer a powerful ball flight. The forgiveness is due in part to the material the head is made from – Ping engineers have used a lighter, low-density alloy that features high strength-to-weight ratio – this has allowed more weight to be placed towards the perimeter of the club for a higher MOI both high and low on the face, as well as towards the heel and toe.
And with an average of nearly 315 yards off the tee in the 2011 season, that could be sooner than later, but PING Chairman and CEO John Solheim was more than happy to offer his support to the worthy cause. "We have always admired how Bubba wears his heart on his sleeve and how generous he is," said Solheim.
"His objectives are in step with ours - to make the community where you live and work a better place. When he announced his intentions, we thought it was just a natural fit for showcasing his towering drives with a cheap ping g20 driver that makes you smile just to look at it," he added.
"I'm very fortunate to have great sponsors, and it's awesome that PING has built me this amazing cheap ping g20 pink driver and challenged me to deliver," stated Watson.
"Pink has always made me stand out, but now it's going to bring attention for a good cause, so I have extra motivation to hit the ball as far as I can. My goal is to make PING pay every cent," added the Ryder Cup star.
