The white paint of the r11 set is interesting. You’re immediately drawn to it. You also initially notice it on the backswing out of your peripheral vision.
The big news about the TaylorMade R11 driver from the taylormade r11 set is the amount of adjustability that is built into the club. The adjustable hosel is the same adjustable hosel as the R9 driver, however the labeling has changed. Instead of Left and Right on the hosel indicating a closed or open face, the hosel says Higher and Lower referring to the ball flight. For every degree the face is closed, it raises the effective loft of the driver, and conversely for opening the face.
It takes a couple of swings to get used to that, but once you do, it won’t bother you at all. I know there was an ad by a competitor against the white head of the taylormade r11 showing it with a shadow; but the sun has to be just right to make this happen, and even when it does, that little shadow isn’t going to bother anyone.
TaylorMade's latest expansion to the overwhelmingly popular taylormade r 11 line was to create an iron set that was engineered for players who appreciate the shape and refinement of a tour-grade iron but need the help of technology to launch the ball high, straight, and long with less effort, regardless of handicap. Already tested as a forgiving and easy to hit club.
The latest R11 innovation comes in the form of an iron. Inspired by taylormade r11 driver innovation, the new taylormade r11 iron is tuned to perfection. Precision CG placements, ultra-thin faces, a tour sole design and Inverted Cone Technology make taylormade golf R11 our most powerful, playable and refined iron ever.
The TaylorMade R11 irons are definitely not blades or a set of tour only clubs. Designed with more forgiveness in mind they appeal to a much larger audience. On the heels of Ping's big announcement for their new clubs for next season I’m sure was no coincidence.
