Default find the heels

There are many trends I'm loving this season, as far as shoes go. Ballet flats... great! Metallics... love em! But by far the one I covet the most is unique, architectural heels like these Pucci sandals I've posted about before:

or this towering 5.5" platform:

I love the cut-out look. Love it love it love it. And while it's a look that I would wear into the ground, regardless of what the season's trend report looked like, it's not a look that's on sale very often, since it's a bit more out there style-wise.

So, before all these cut-out heel shoes disappear forever (or until they come back into fashion), I'd really like to get my hands on a pair. Unfortunately, I can neither wear 5.5" shoes of any sort, platform or not, nor afford to pay nearly $700 dollars for them (see above Pucci's).

Anyone know of some stylish cut-out wedges (they don't have to be wedges necessarily... just that's what seems to offer the most potential for cutting out part of the heel) that are under 3" and don't cost my first born child?
