    Question Stephane Kelian

My mother-in-law, who usually has impeccable if somewhat bland taste, swears by the shoes of Stephane Kelian (among others). Which she, of course, buys in New York or Paris. Now, I don't live in either of those cities, and I'm dying to know how these shoes feel. Online--it's slim pickings, although I did manage to find one model on Bluefly, a black or taupe or orange slide, which is fine, I guess, but I was looking for something more dramatic--like these shoes spotted by Shoebunny on Heidi Klum.

The point is, my mother-in-law had to suffer because of ill-fitting shoes--pointed shoes, to be exact, and had to have a pinky toe removed, or half of it, I can't remember, so bad it had become (I think it was hammer toe, if I'm not mistaken). Since that surgery, many years ago, she's only chosen very comfortable shoes--you know, Gucci loafers, Mephisto walking sandals, Stuart Weitzman shoes, or Stephane Kelian. She swears by this last one as being super-extra comfortable and stylish.

Anyone had any experience with this brand? Tips? Any online place I can get it from?

I have no experience with Stephane Kelian, but I might suggest that if you mention it often enough in front of her, complain about how hard it is to find comfortable shoes and how badly you're struggling with this, perhaps you'll be rewarded with a pair after her next trip abroad?
