Re: Are these shoes still made???
This is so funny because we've been selling Dexters for years, and my co-worker was just contemplating as to whether she should save her pair of these boots in brown for her daughter! They certainly are still very fashionable!
Not only are these boots not made, but Dexter is basically non-existent for the moment, unless you want golf or bowling shoes. The way these things go, another company could purchase and reinstate womens and mens casuals at any time, but as it stands right now, Dexter hasn't got a Fall 07 line.
Your best bet for these boots (knowing what I do about related brands and comfort) is probably Steve Madden Musicall right now (size up!! you can always add gel cushions and/or wear great, thick thigh-high socks with boots like these--great fall look!) Naturalizer had an incredibly comfy and very similar style a few years back, but you won't find those either.
Retails around 120 on most sites-- even though Zappos typically marks up a lot of items in order to pay for their "free shipping", they seem pretty on the mark here, and you would get them quickly.
PLUS!! if you buy vintage 80s boots on ebay my friend, you TOTALLY run the risk that the sole will show dry rot the first or second time you put them on. Think of how temperatures vary... I've seen it time and again.
