I guess I don't forget much. The problem, of course, is remembering it when I need it - at least with my brain attached, I know it will come to me eventually.

Another place I would try to contact for industry leads or tips would be Titan industries (Makes/designs Betsey Johnson, LAMB, Badgley Mishka & Harajuku Lovers, among others):

Titan Industries, Inc.- Welcome - the worst that could happen is you could get the brush-off. Otherwise, they might have some advice for aspiring designers.

Zazzle.com has shoes you can print with your own designs. They're not too expensive, either.

I suggest you start on converse or addidas sneakers. They are good to fit with design.
