Yo guys, I'm new here and to shoe art in general.
I wanted to know what materials and supplies I might need. I have artistic talent I just wonder if it will tranlate into shoe design. |

I think it definitely can. An easy way to print custom shoes is to buy plain Vans slip-on and use an airbrush gun. I wouldn't suggest using acrylics since they would crack when the person is wearing them.
Try looking at IceCreams by Pharel Williams of NERD for inspiration. They do custom shoes as well. |

They have a site that lets you customize shoes somewhere.

i have unique way of getting great prints for my shoes, when ever me and my friends go out some where on weekends, for hiking, trekking etc. i try to get inspiration from natural things around. we take different pictures, and when we come back i take copies of their camers pictures with a Canditto Kisok. now Canditto offers a $50 discount with Discount Code: 264592588, so it has become a lot cheaper for me to use!

SoleBrother.com if you're looking to design sneakers. They'll take your idea and put it on the shoes for you. Can be pricey though!

Try getting a subscription to FN (Footwear News). It's an industry publication & a good place to start.
