Should I get a pair of Manolos?
Hi ladies!
So basically the hubby has given me $700 to do with whatever I want in terms of shopping (mothers day gift). I just had a baby so I don’t want to buy any more clothes now since I havent lost all the weight yet. I do need more shoes for work, so I was considering getting a pair of Manolo Blahniks (I am a huge Sex and the City fan) – but I know I can get like 6 pair for the price of one of those. What do you think? What’s the hype with Manolo’s? Are they longer lasting, more comfortable?
Re: Should I get a pair of Manolos?
Why don't you go to the nearest fancy place that sells Manolos and see what you think of them - the actual styles and such and try them on? See if YOU like them before you commit yourself!
Who knows - maybe you'll like the Louboutins or Choos better?
(Carrie would want you to wear fabulous shoes and not let the label wear YOU :))

Definitely see if you can find a Nordstroms, Saks, etc to try on some styles & different designers. Each company uses different lasts, so some brands will fit better than others. If you decide not to go premier designer, there are a lot of nice designer brands that will run the $130-300 range & will go on better sales.
Think Charled David, BGBMaxazaria, Betsey Johnson, Anyi Lu, Report Signature. A fun thing might be to spend a few hours on Zappos & see which designers styles appeal to you.

Hi I'm new to this so bare with me....I would make a day of it...get dressed in something you feel confident in, gorgeous and ready to hit the shops. Then go with your gut instinct. If you "love" them then try them. You can buy a few beautiful pairs of shoes that are going to fit the "work" look. If it's a pair of Manolo's you fall in love with, then why not? If you have doubts, then hold off and have a good look around until you know exactly what it is you want. The more you try on, the clearer that will get. Enjoy the journey.
Re: Should I get a pair of Manolos?
You need to try them and see how you like them. To me, it's not about quantity but quality. I would MUCH rather have a pair of Manolos than 6 pairs of anything else. However, that's a personal choice. Good luck with whatever you decide!
