Help me find these shoes!!! (PLEASE)

I'm looking for a particular pair of men's shoes. The only information I have is that they were sourced in Milan, probably during late 2006/early 2007.

My knowledge of real designer shoes is beyond limited, if they're not athletic shoes then I'm clueless. So, I was hoping someone here could help identify the maker.

And if some of you are wondering, these are the shoes worn by Heath Ledger as the Joker in The Dark Knight.

No guesses at all? I've checked out all the Italian designers I can think of.

sorry but I don't have an idea who's designer made that shoes.

I bet anything those were custom made for the the dark knight Joker costume. Your best bet will probably be modifying a similar pair of shoes.. I doubt you will find an exact pair like that around, good luck

I originally thought they were custom made as well, however, a recent article claims otherwise...

"The Joker's shoes are from Milan and were selected by the costume designer because they had an upward swoop at the toe, which she thought was reminiscent of clown shoes."

I tend to believe they were a found item as the article also mentions the maker of the tie, which I have on order currently. The original sock maker has also be identified.

Maybe if someone could just add to my list of Italian designers. That way I can check into them myself.

Even if, as you say, the costume designer did chose those shoes for their swoop, they have probably been altered quite significantly. Sorry!

This is the closest I've found to the base shoe yet, however, they are not it.

Looks pretty close.. with minor customization on the sides, it should look like the joker's! I thinks its cute to see a guy wearing joker shoes...lol

It won't be just the shoes.

I have the necktie and socks from the original manufacturers on the way.

Is he wearing multi colored socks? purple, black and green? looks girly to me
