Hi Ladies
Has anyone experienced being served by a hot looking guy in a shop??? And if not, how would that make you feel if you were? And if you knew the shop had him as a feature...so to speak?

I have no idea. I have noticed that Nordstroms tend to have a majority or men, hot or no, staffing their shoe departments. It would take some investigating, but I'm guessing that sales are better when males staff women's shoe departments. This sounds like a whole study/masters thesis, if someone hasn't already done one for retail already.
Honestly though, I really don't pay too much attention to the Sales Associate except to make sure that he or she is actually helping me to find what I need & get the appropriate commision when I ring up. If they are professional and not terribly pushy, I can work with that. I don't notice faces that much but can't stand one who hovers. If they introduce themselves, offer to help, and them back off until I'm ready, then I'm fairly satisfied.
I guess if you find him attractive, you could consider him as part of the overall store 'atmosphere'. Your eye-candy, as it were - however, I would still expect proper value for my time & money. So really, in then end, it's about the shoe I buy and whether I am happy with the price and quality.

Hey thanks for your response. I totally agree with you and yes service will be paramount especially since, generally we girls tend to know what we want when we see it. What made me ask is a recent experience I had with a single girlfriend of mine. We go out and often visit new restaurants. And we have noticed that the "better" respected restaurants tend to have only male waiters. But she took it a step further. She wanted "eye candy". And it was lacking. I was wondering if this was a new standard we were creating for a whole new generation of single gals and guys. And I for one know that most advertising doesn't sell a product, it sells a message, feeling or connection. I was wondering if this is possible in our shopping experience?
I get creaped out by Male shoe store clerks. I cant seem to buy from them. Being a male and buying high heels, I've found I've gotten far better treatment from female sales staff. Understanding and help full, and gorgeous. One recent purchase at a ninewest store the attractive you woman encouraged me to try the boots on in store if i cared to, she was so nice. And comforted me that she has sold to many men who like to wear heels. She was very nice. Ill buy there again soon.
