    Default Interchangeable shoes

When I first saw the Snap-N-Go interchangeable shoes tops, I was moderately interested in the concept of having different shoes tops that I could mix and match with my wardrobe but alas, these didn't really fit my style.

The OneSole collection is a bit more pricey but I find them more suitable for my tastes.

In particular, these clogs piqued my interest. I also really love the different strappies you can choose. The soles are available for around $125 and the tops go for $35-40.

However, it wasn't until I saw the very beautiful and sexy Jour & Nuit collection of removable heels and interchangable straps where I can say that I am totally sold on the concept of interchangeable shoes. The straps are available in a variety of styles ranging from exotic skins, crystals, fabrics, and stones. The collection is available starting in the Spring and I can't wait. For a sneak preview of the collection, click here. With these beauties, the main difficulty is picking out the strap and heel to go out in.

Let's hope interchangeable shoes are a trend that stays around for a while.

Here's another one that I just stumbled upon. From Coquette's Blog...drumroll please....adjustable heels!! What a great idea! I can't wait for these shoes to come out.

    Adjustable heels! What genius!

Those I'll most certainly be keeping an eye on.

And the Jour & Nuit shoes are the very ones being offered as Oscar swag, so if you happen to have some connection to an Oscar-goer, you might be able to get your hands on some interchangeable heels sooner rather than later.

Well, it look like Camileon Heels is the first to market with the adjustable high heel.

They are priced at around $300 on Zappos.com.

Has anyone tried these on yet? Are they well-constructed, comfortable, and worth the price?

I don't know... I'm kind of concerned about the adjustable heel. What if you wore the low heel down -- would the high heel still be able to attach correctly? I think it would drive me nuts to have the high heel stored under the arch like that. Even if no one noticed, I'd know it was there.

At that price, I'd probably choose to buy two pairs of shoes (one low, one high) instead. Although I like the looks they've gone with.

I really liked the interchangeable shoes I saw posted on the blog earlier (I don't remember their name and couldn't find it through a quick perusal). The ones with the swappable exteriors but one interior -- how perfect for bringing multiple pairs of shoes on a trip without adding bulk to your luggage! Unfortunately I think they'll be priced out of my budget, considering they seem like somewhat of a novelty to me. Maybe I'll feel differently when they hit stores and I can try them on.

Here's a new entry in the interchangeable shoe category. I think we can officially call this a trend what with all these brands popping out of the woodwork.

This one is a company called Mohop, and here's the deal. First, you pick from the three heights they offer (low, mid, high heels). Then you select which sole design you like. They're all screenprinted with original designs by Annie Mohaupt (the driving creative force behind the line). Finally, you pick your straps/ribbons, which can be anything from satin ribbons with stones or beads attached to buckled strips of vintage fabric.

    Neat, huh?

Aha, I just saw those and was getting ready to blog about them! My only question is, why a wooden sole? I have to share Nemtynakht's concerns about this. To be able to adjust your heel size, I think the sole has to be quite flexible--otherwise it won't work.

I get the impression that it's a wood veneer with a rubber sole, which I imagine would be more flexible and certainly more shock absorbent.
