Spice up your shoe wardrobe!
...at least that seems to be message of this article. The article quotes one Gina La Morte (???), celebrity to stylists, urging women to get at least patents and peep-toes in our wardrobe.
But what really caught my eye was a survey by ShoeMall.com, which found, and I quote, that:
Despite trendier looks on the racks such as wedges, peep toes and platforms, less than a third of women surveyed said they owned a pair in one of those styles.
When it comes to color, black (94 percent) and brown (77 percent) were the top choices. But when it comes to more daring shades, the numbers dip dramatically with red (35 percent) and metallics (34 percent) cited most frequently.
Tsk-tsk-tsk, I must say. We must strive to spread the joy of fun, beautiful shoes as far as we can, and it looks like we've got a lot of work to do!
Re: Spice up your shoe wardrobe!
Thanks for the great article. I'll have to share some of this information with my blog readers. Personally, I'm not doing too bad, I own a pair of patent leather shoes, 2 pairs of wedge shoes and 1 pair of platforms.
Re: Spice up your shoe wardrobe!
All I have are wedges, platforms and heels. I don't even have many sneakers....well I have 3 pairs. lol

I guess I'm not doing too bad either. I own at least two pairs of patent leather shoes, several wedges and at least 1 pair of platforms.
I used to be a mostly black shoe girl but I have branched out and slowly dared to buy shoes in flashy colors like red, yellow, blue, etc and I am so glad I did. My collection now looks lively!

I think I have every type of shoe possible in every possible color. LOL
I'll admit that for my store I like to acquire shoes in black or white; shades that go with many outfits.
