...at least that seems to be message of this article. The article quotes one Gina La Morte (???), celebrity to stylists, urging women to get at least patents and peep-toes in our wardrobe.
But what really caught my eye was a survey by ShoeMall.com, which found, and I quote, that:
Despite trendier looks on the racks such as wedges, peep toes and platforms, less than a third of women surveyed said they owned a pair in one of those styles.
When it comes to color, black (94 percent) and brown (77 percent) were the top choices. But when it comes to more daring shades, the numbers dip dramatically with red (35 percent) and metallics (34 percent) cited most frequently.
Tsk-tsk-tsk, I must say. We must strive to spread the joy of fun, beautiful shoes as far as we can, and it looks like we've got a lot of work to do!
