What do you think about the feather trend? You've seen them on bags and in earrings, but would you wear feathers on your feet? Behold two examples: Kate Spade violet feather 'Dusk' flats, and lipstick suede feather thongs from Alexandra Neel (they're both about $160 on Bluefly). I for one am reluctant--remind me too much of boas, and I would never wear boas in public. Or in private for that matter. Ok, if I were an actress, on stage--I guess, but otherwise, it seems like an overly fragile, flimsy material, too much so for wearing on your feet. If they get dusty or wet, how do you fix that? Or worse, ruffled up, giving you the appearance of alternately an angry or a wet chicken, both looks I make it a point of personal pride to avoid...
