Missmatched shoes

Would you wear missmatched shoes, as the next hot shoe trend? I argue on the blog that it's not really a trend, and the Twin line from Camper would be as far as I'd go. What about you?

i saw a girl today at my local shopping centre, wearing two havaianas, one pink, one green. i bet she thought she was so with it but it looked ridiculous!

See, so far I never saw REAL persons sporting this look, but yeah, my guess is that it would look all shades of bizarre and ridiculous (not to mention uncomfortable if you wear two different types of shoes, and increasingly hard to coordinate if you wear two completely different colors).

or what about the two different shoes with two different heel heights? how ridiculous would you look, limping down the street!

Yep, why would anyone do that to themselves in the name of fashion, is beyond me. Although, come to think of it, people, and especially women, suffer every day in the name of fashion, a concept I don't approve of because, well, it doesn't really make any sense (or it shouldn't: think about it!). But yes, symmetry is something we look for in a human face, in a human body, and, whaddya know, also in a pair of shoes. A simple but brilliant concept!

Today I was leaving Target and saw a woman sporting some mismatched shoes. I had my camera and considered getting a picture, but I didn't. This woman was wearing these shoes, one in Apple Green and one in Cuero.

I truly hope that she got them as seconds or something and didn't buy two pair at full price.

I have an inkling that she didn't get them as seconds. It's just a nagging feeling I have that stems from the fact that people in Boulder have a lot of money, but don't know how to dress themselves.

I think it's a complecated trend. It might look interesting if you wear a two color combination of clothes and match them with maybe Tods Loafers or Ballerina Flats same style different color.

Yes, I could see muted mismatches. We sell a lot of two-tone shoes here in suburban philly... what used to be called like spectators. One black heel, one tan, let's say. I could see where, with the right top and slacks, this could be intriguing.

Or look at Uggs two tones as another point of comparison.
