I hate those, they're so uncomfortable! Dirt and dust and moisture always collect in that plastic part too, plus it looks so ridiculously cheap. The only thing I disliked more than these were the all-plastic jellies. My friend used to go nuts for those shoes when we were little - she always had blisters from them.
