Default Patent!

I love patent and the trend doesn't seem to go away soon. I notice that the designers seem to be preoccupied with the sensual aspects of materials, with unexpected texture combinations--patent and grosgrain and velvet, eel and brass, linen and suede--you name it. My must-have patent for the season has got to be this simple red slingback from Stuart Weitzman--but oh so delish!

I, too, love the patent leather trend. It hits that leftover "little girl party shoe" gene that I never really outgrew.

These are the ones I'm drooling over:

By Taryn Rose, and therefore, with a hefty price tag ($445).

But SO ADORABLE! And comfy!

I recently purchased a black patent leather wristlet, and now the need for stylish patent leather shoes that match has become more pressing. I'm looking for shoes (not boots), but otherwise I just don't know what I want. I'm also wondering now if black patent leather is really something I should be looking for with spring approaching. Is patent leather a no-go for spring?

On the contrary, Nicole. I think patent is particularly hot this spring. Just take a gander at neimanmarcus.com--first page features a gorgeous pair of black Prada peep-toe pumps!

Hi.
They are adorable! And I love this kind of little girl shoes too. Somethimes you can match them with some cool stuff and then you have a combination that really rocks.
