Oh, French shoes, how I love thee.

This French woman was staying stylish in the rain yesterday in these patent leather boots by JB Martin, a French brand that's really not so available in the USA.


They had great rubberized traction on the sole and were clearly more stylish than the big chunky rainboots that I and many other New Yorkers are wearing around in this flood.

I can find places that sell this brand everywhere from Canada to the Czech Republic to Norfolk Island in the South Pacific, but no such luck in the USA.
