    these are rather different from all the "paris street style" pics i've seen. which is great because it seems more everyday and less like paris fashion week style. which part of paris do you take them in?

    aaaah, I LOVE how French women dress up to go out every day of the week. Such style. Why are Americans so boring (now this is in general, not everyone) on the street? You rarely see a woman in Paris who looks like she hasn't put on her best.

    It's interesting. It used to be that you dressed nicely out of respect for yourself and others, among other reasons. Dressing casually became a counter-cultural statement. Now, in the US, those of us who dress up regularly are the counterculture in many areas - it's an interesting (and to me sometimes depressing) reversal.
