Ed Hardy Spring 2009 Fashion Show - Off Runway

I had a chance to attend the Ed Hardy Spring 2009 fashion show last month. And while I enjoyed observing the new designs on the runway, I admit to being equally interested in what the audience wore as well.

Not surprisingly, the true Ed Hardy fans wore accessories from the line. I was also able to snap these Steve Madden booties and Gucci suede boots.

Good find there, I love Ed Hardy clothes, but again they are so expensive. The change for this season is his use of electric colors as the background for his designs. The colors are fun, I love how a lot of the designs look like tattoos, but I don't think I would wear such a busy color schemes.

My local TJMaxx just got a huge shipment of Ed Hardy Tie-clips, dogtag necklaces & money-clips. Also a few ball caps & keychains. It's much less painful on the wallet if you can find it at a discounter. The only downside is if you have a local reseller who gets there first & buys up most of the stock.

I like the tattoo look. A flash of pattern on a shoe paired with jeans or on a belt are a nice contrast that is not overwhelming. I would definitely stay away from wearing this look head-to-toe. That kind of gimmick is most successful on the runway only.

these are a nice change for the ed hardy line, i got kinda tired of Christian Auigier's art work, this is more toned down from all the jewels and tattoo art. I like the low tops especially XD
